In 1968, the Rioja winegrowers got together to found COSECHEROS FUENMAYOR S.A.

In view of the growing success of this union, they decided in 1972 to build a cellar at Fuenmayor that they called LOPEZ AGOS Y CIA. S.A. to produce wines of exceptional quality.

In 1981, the Bodega worked closely with the very great Marqués del Puerto who brought his own noble title to the wines and gave the definitive name to the BODEGAS MARQUES DEL PUERTO S.A.

In 1996, Marie Brizard acquired the Bodega and gave it the best human and technical resources.

The Bodega Marqués del Puerto is situated at Fuenmayor in the heart of the D.O.C Rioja, cradle of high quality Spanish wines.
